Passion And Its Mystery

Superb Polanoid Actions by rawimage

Yes, this is what I do when I only got photos from last holiday. Mixing it so it looks like something new. And my friend from Deviant Art got an awesome actions to work with. Isn't it fun to do the things that you love every day of your life? It sounds really fun. You don't need to struggle on that uncomfortable feeling in doing something. You just know what you do, you feel like you always want to know about it. Curiosity makes everything possible.

But face it, sometimes we all human gets bored. It's funny that today we love painting and next week we're into traveling. And at this century human can easily get bored because there are so many choices and references from the emerging media. Internet. The almighty. You can see New York by look it up in google. You can master knitting by just watching the tutorial on Youtube. You can meet people by chatting online. Everything is possible. It makes people to have more choices than they probably should.

Are having more choices make human happy? I believe it's gonna be very confusing. Admit it. For young generations like me who is currently looking for my dream job, I might look it up on the internet what would I be. What are the job description, how to get there and many things. But does that make me closer to my dream job? For some people it works. For others they might just stumble upon many other choices that they find also interesting. Some just forgot what they actually want.

But I don't want to talk about that. It's okay for teenagers at this era to try new things that they find on the internet. However, I just realize that having internet around us minimises the mistakes people would do. People are now fully aware of what they are going to face, and that makes them feeling comfortable so that there is nothing surprising (in a negative way). But how about great people of the past? They didn't know that much of possibilities and informations but they jumped into the circumstances and got the result from experience. And for me, that is the difference. We can now avoid ourselves from doing things because we know that there is something that we might not like. We know that we will be harmed, or we know that we will have to work hard to get it.

To some people they look up on celebrity chefs who cook and eat the dishes peacefully, heavenly. And then they're into cooking. Then they look up to fashion designers who get to meet high class people, drinking their mocktails and attend the runway. And then they're into fashion. But suddenly the trend is being an architect who get to design and stay in great hotels with great views. Then they are into architecture and hotel designs. These may be an experiment to just drown in something that we're into, temporarily. I would say probably one of the effect of having so much choices is that you can't stay with one. Am I wrong? It depends on you.

However, with more and more choices on the media today, are those things even real? I mean when someone's into fashion, is that what they live up for? What about Karl Lagerfeld in his early days? He didn't know anything but fashion drawing was in his mind. And what about those french famous cooks? they didn't know anything but their passionate love for food. And for me, those people really know what they want. They know it by hard, without following a trend or so. Look at the result. Look at the great people of the past, they knew what they wanted to be and they drown so deeply in what they believe they must do to get there. And they became the inspiration of today's world. It's funny that we, in this century, are inspired by those people who maybe didn't have much resource/references/choices as we are today.

For me, it's actually very hard for me to stay with just one thing that I'd be busy with. Everything in the world is way too interesting and it's getting more accessible with internet around us. So maybe 20 years later I'd go back to this writing and smile because I've found what I want to do. Or not. Because maybe during the period, things are getting even more interesting.

I should see for my self.
